LOVE SCRIPTUREFINED ĪĪĪ.
Last time, we discussed some qualities of love which are;
-Patience
-Longsuffering.
-Not rejoicing in evil.
And many more ……..
Well be going a step further today, continuing from our anchor scripture(1 Corinthians 13)
7. (KJV) Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
(NLT) Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
– Love has the ability to hold onto the last thin line of thread of hope. Someway somehow, there’s always something to hold onto /to believe on as long as love is in motion.
Love has a way of inspiring hope in the ‘lovers’. If you love God truly, there’ll always be a lingering faith in Him, no matter the situation you find yourself in.
Love has the ability to endure torture and hardship for the sake if the important things. As long as you count your faith in God important, there’ll always be strength to pull through all things.
Same goes for loving someone. There’ll always be faith in such an one. You would never really loose faith in that person, regardless of the circumstances staring you in the face.
Most people who has long lasting friendships will tell you they had challenges and problems but they stuck to each other. Not because it was convenient. Rather, they had love binding them.
8. (KJV) Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
(NLT) Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear.
– Christians need to understand how temporal their spiritual gifts are. Speaking in tongues and prophesying is wonderful, shows you are God’s anointed and blessed child.
Still, it does not mean that you have met Christ. The genuine proof that you have met with God is that you can reveal His nature; LOVE. The bible didn’t hide the fact that Jesus is love from us.
God is Holy, God is love. Holiness and love go hand in hand. If you love God, you must be holy. In all, love is the driving force for everything as a believer.
Let love lead and drive you in all things.
I know your tongues weigh 700 thousand pounds. Calm down and show love. Jesus said that “by this, all men may know that you are my disciple when you love one another.”
When you’d how love, you don’t need to make a placard or signpost saying, ‘I’m a Christian o’. It’s not necessary. The bible has taught us that love is the sign if Christ in you.
Anything below the standard of love is unacceptable. Anything asides love will disappear. Love lasts forever.
9. (KJV) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
(NLT) Now we know only a little, and even the gift of prophecy reveals little!
– This just reveals to us how minute our understanding is. No matter your stature in Christ, there is a limitation to the level of knowledge you can have.
Only your celestial body has the ability to hold unto all information. You, in the flesh, cannot know much. Our kinds and hearts are too little to comprehend what God is doing or can do.
We only know what He tells or shows us. However, we can love 100%! So tell me, which is greater?
We’ll shed more light of the subject of love in subsequent blog posts. Till then, enjoy this.
Happy Sunday!🌹
