LIVING RIGHT IN THIS GENERATION ĪĪ
Living right has always been something any preacher or teens’ coach would love to talk about. Most especially to young people. The importance and relevance of this principle cannot be stressed.
Last week, I shared some tips on the relevance of living right. Those points cannot be over stressed.
Our take home points were;
1. God’s word is a mirror that allows me see who I am.
2. Reading the word is not just finding God; it’s finding me too.
3. Life without God’s purpose being fulfilled in it is a waste.
4. Living right is compulsory if I must access the blessings of God.
5. Living right is living as God intended.
6. God’s plan is that heaven should be seen on earth through my life.
Today, I’ll be going deeper into the subject.
HOW TO LIVE RIGHT.
In this world where the right things are hated and spat on, we find that nothing good ever comes out of it. Jesus is seated on the ‘right’ side of God, both figuratively and literally.
The right things we ought to do shouldn’t be subject to negotiation or bad societal ethics.
The world as it is in grave need of light. Light that only God can shine upon us. For God’s light to reflect through us, we must do the needful. A sieve cannot be blocked and expect water to pass thought it.
Christ needs us to fulfill certain standing instructions to live in dominion and be the light;
1. Righteousness!
This cannot be over emphasized.
In simple words, it means ‘right with God’. A righteous man is a man that is on a friendly journey with God. A righteous man is an who’s ways “please the Lord.”
When young people hear about righteousness, they tend to mentally groan and think it’s boring. Let me explain something very wonderful.
Man is created spirit, soul and body. It is intended that each of these areas are well taken care of. Neither should be neglected or relegated.
Eating feeds the body. Positive communication and materials feed the mind. Consciousness of God(prayer & meditation) and the word feed the spirit.
If you feed your flesh and soul/mind and do not feed your spirit, you’re making a great mistake. The spirit is the most important part of a human.
Without the spirit, nothing lives.
Therefore, it is of great importance that the spirit be fed daily and regularly. Prayer, meditation, the word, consecration and fasting are a few things that help you develop your spirit.
It may seem irrelevant to the physical eyes to develop the spirit. However, it only takes a few years to show how important it is.
We’ll be stopping here today.
However, our take home points are;
1. The spirit is the most important part of a man.
2. It might not seem relevant but it’s immensely important to develop the spirit.
3. Christ shines His light through us.
Till we meet again, think on these words.
Happy Sunday!🍀
