A CHILD AND FOOLISHNESS.

A CHILD AND FOOLISHNESS.

Most times when we look at children, we tend to be irritated at their level of foolishness. Although sometimes it’s cute, in a way. At other times, it’s exhausting. Many times you try to teach them things but they seem to know more than you.

It’s rare to find a child that is wise from a tender age. As a matter of fact, it would be regarded as odd. Most children from the cradle and even up to 25 years of age tend to make foolish choices. Yes, 25 year olds.

Proverbs 22:15 says; “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”(KJV)

The New Living Translation used the word ‘youngsters’. A young person has every tendency to do foolish things! A young person has every tendency to take wrong decisions.

It continued by saying ‘the rod of correction will drive it away’. The rod of correction, discipline, will drive it far away. The correctional instrument will force foolishness out of the system.

Proverbs 22:6 says; “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”(KJV)

Train, enforce discipline on a lad. Discipline should start from the cradle. Discipline should be a system enforced by parents. Disciple should not be left for teachers or the society.

A lot of youths grow the seed of foolishness in their lives, unconsciously. The seed of foolishness is already existent, according to the first scripture. It doesn’t need encouragement to grow. It will grow naturally when it is not rooted out.

Don’t be shocked when you see youngsters doing foolish things, it’s a setting in the system. It would take serious discipline to chase it out. Discipline is the only remedy for foolishness.

However, if discipline wasn’t enforced at the cradle, it should be enforced now that you have come to the light of what foolishness and wisdom is. The lights should lead you to the disciplined side.

The truth is, foolishness always prides as wisdom. Foolishness puffs up but wisdom corrects. Foolishness seeks to make itself known but wisdom is modest. Wisdom is announced by itself but foolishness does the announcement.

Now that you know what foolishness is, it becomes your duty to make sure you rid it from your life. Your parents might not enforced it. Unfortunately, you are now an adult who is responsible for all his decisions.

They didn’t teach you things you ought to know. Now you know you need to learn some things, what steps are you taking to learn them? Blaming them is another dimension of foolishness. It’s simply living in the past.

No person knows it all. We compliment each other.

Foolishness is very expensive. Wisdom is free. Romans 12:2 says; “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”(KJV)

We live in a foolish world. Anything or person who doesn’t acknowledge God is foolish. To remain wise, to attract wisdom, we must renew our minds religiously. We must, with discipline, continue to stir the waters in our spirit with the word, prayer and meditation.

Foolishness will never tell you he is foolish. You have to, with discernment, know it and chase it out. Foolishness is painful, expensive and embarrassing. Do not wait for the big bomb before you desist from evil.

Doing evil is foolishness. Committing sin is foolishness. Lack of discipline is foolishness. Laziness is foolishness. Do away with them!

On a lighter note, GrowingInGrace is six months old (6months or ½ years old) today! We are thankful to God for bringing us thus far. Of a truth it can only be Him.

Proverbs 16:3 says; “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.”(KJV). Exactly the vision of God for us. We followed through and God crowned out efforts with success. Thank you Jesus!

    Happy birthday, GIG!
    Happy Sunday to you!
    Jah blesses you!
