LAUGH!

LAUGH!

Humans are always too scared and serious ah!

I stumbled on a video of Lawrence Oyor analyzing the scripture below. It made me realize something that most Christians do not understand.

Psalms 2:2-5(KJV) says;

2. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3. Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

This scripture is apt, to be honest!

It says here that the people of the world were plotting to do evil unto God’s elects. They gathered, talked and planned on how to do evil to the apple of God’s eyes.

They planned to be the thieves they were from the beginning unto God’s people. The problem wasn’t that they were stealing. The issue was who they are stealing from.

The response of God really shocked me to be honest.

The bible records in verse 4 that;
4. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

He didn’t just blow hot His anger straight up. He first of all mocked them. He laughed them to scorn. He laughed till they were confused.

Derision means scorn. God laughed them to scorn!
Then something struck me.

Laughing is not a sign of being unserious. If God can laugh in the face of the devil and his tricks, it means that laughter in the face of the devil does something to him.

Let me explain the light I caught in details.

You know when you give someone a gift, you expect the person be be happy. You probably expect a hug or a thank you, right? This is a way of showing appreciation.

If the person, instead of appreciating you, slaps you, you would be genuinely shocked. Probably thrown off balance too. Because what?!?!

I don’t know about you but as for me, I would be distabilized for the next few minutes. After recovering my composure, I would just walk away and leave you for a few minutes.

This is exactly the reaction of the enemy in the case of your laughter!

He expects you to start crying or calling upon God instantly. He has an ideology programmed in his head of how you will respond. He has pictured how you will react.

Unfortunately, most Christians play their roles in his little script.

I don’t know about you but I love violence. Yes, spiritual violence.

Violence is not just about troubling heaven to arise for you. Sometimes, make the devil scared. A man who is unpredictable to the devil will have his respect. If you can’t be read by his thoughts, he would have a different eye to look you through.

Praying to God is very expected but can we let him know his ranting will remain a rant? Can he know that you are not moved by his words? Can you let him know that you know your bequeath as a child of Abba, seated at his right hand?

It’s not disregarding God, it’s letting the trespasser know he has trespassed. If you continue to cry, he would be encouraged. If you run to God instantly, he would afflict you with fear and doubt.

But when you pull down your curtain and scream at him, he knows that you’re not a novice. He understands that you know your place and your position in God.

Most times, our running to God is a product of fear that we feel. Prayer should be using His words to obtain victory. Prayer is not speaking out of fear. Prayer should be done with His word as the anchor, not fear.

If our Father in heaven can laugh the devil to scorn despite his plotting, why in the world would you be crying?

Aren’t we God-like again?
Let’s borrow Daddy’s scope. Let’s be destabilizing the devil small.

My mentor had an encounter a few years ago with a witch who confronted him in a trance. He threw his legs up and laughed her to scorn when she threatened him.

Afterwards, she began to cry and beg him to let her go with her prey, as it’s supposed to be.

Never give the devil the pleasure of seeing you shaking in your boots. Pull down your glasses and look him in the eye. Tell him to back off. Laugh at him like he’s a kid.

In no time, he’ll get the memo.

Good morning & win today!🌹
