New But Continue.
A new year is here, Hurray! All glory to Abba for seeing us through the previous year, 2022. It was a beautiful and challenging year with lots of ups and downs. So many things gotmore expensive but Abba fed us.
Rice was expensive! But as a friend said; the more expensive it is, the more we ate it. Which is very true. It can only be Abba.
Typically, this new year will follow with so many resolutions. These resolutions should propell us into becoming better people. They should take us closer to destiny and purpose not the other way round. These resolutions should be SMART;
I. S ~ Specific.
II. M ~ Measurable.
III. A ~ Attainable.
IV. R ~ Realistic.
V. T ~ Time bound.
These resolutions should not be ‘scatter brained’ in nature. They should have a sense of direction and purpose. They should also be traced to the previously recorded progress.
For example, if you learnt how to cut clothes the previous year, in this new year your goal should be to learn how to sew the already cut dresses.
Don’t learn how to cut dresses in one year and abandon it to learn to draw in the next year. That isn’t a SMART resolution.
Look at what you did the previous year. What can you do to make it better? What mistakes did you make the previous year? What challenges did you have the previous year? How do you plan to ensure that it is not repeated?
Proverbs 22:29 says; “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” (KJV).
You want to become a household name? You want to be successful? You want to touch lives? You want to fulfill purpose? You want to grow? Be diligent!
Diligence is only attained when you are focused on growing in one thing. When you ‘pick and drop’ skills, you’re wasting destiny’s time. The unit of destiny is time!
Strive for continuity! There is nothing like a new book in a new year. Its the same old book. Just write the same thing. Only this time, make it better! Give it your best!
A happy new year to you!
