GIVING!

GIVING!

Looking at this topic, you probably expect the regular ‘giving’ talk. However, this is going to be slightly different. We’ve always talked about giving from a man’s perspective. Let’s look at it from God’s perspective. In my writing culture, I would be tracing God’s gifts and giving culture.

In the beginning, by the power of His words, the waters parted. Before this happened, His spirit registered His presence. He moved on earth signifying a change. For the next six days after that, God worked with His words to produce the beauties of nature we have today. By His words, He framed the beautiful sky, sea, animals(water and land), firmament and finally, man.

Therefore, God’s first gift to earth was His voice and His words. These two gifts are highly respected by a spiritual man. The voice of God and the word of God is what a spiritual man lives by. Without both of them, He’ll be restless. It’s awesome that its a deww gift. All the more reason to treasure it.

Unfortunately, man fell. The voice of God remained but it wasn’t the same. His voice was more about warnings. Man didn’t have the luxury I’d communing with Him as earlier planned. The love of God waxs cold in the Heart of men and God wasn’t happy.

In the time of Noah, God destroyed every living being on earth and create a new using Noah’s family. Still, evil prevailed. This time, God ordained prophets who He would speak through to His people. Abraham was a man that had the ability to speak to God as man and friend. He was like a mediator between God and man.

Men still sikmed but He never tool away His voice from them. They would run to Him when they we’re in trouble. He would save them and reassure them with His voice. Still, the world of sin held more pleasure for them. They chose carved images over the living God.

God sent His voice  to His people again in another dimension. This time, He was warning them of the painful destruction that awaits them if they do not repent. Men like Jonah and Moses were sent by God to liberate God’s own people. The ones who rebelled against them were destroyed. Sodom and Gomorrah are a good example. Despite all this, evil prevailed.

God sent His voice again through prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joel and many more. This time, they revealed the position of God’s heart towards His people and prophesied over the coming messiah. They also ministered God’s punishment upon all defaulters in His will. Even with all this, the world still has a love for sin.

For more than four hundred years, God was silent. Go placed a pause on His gift. He was steategizing an irresistible way of saving the whole world from the impending doom and darkness. He was planning to make a huge sacrifice that would provoke repentance, holiness and Godliness.

After the long silence, the messiah came. He came in a lowly and humble way. He came to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, minister to men and make men of men. All of this He did without charge. He was greatly opposed by the pharisees and the rulers. When He became a threat to them, they plotted to put Him to death.

All of this was God’s master plan to reconcile us to Him. From the times of Abraham, blood was used to blot out sin. It was the blood of animals though. God needed a higher price for the souls of men. So, He sent His only son on a mission to gift us salvation by His blood unto them that believe on.

Salvation by Jesus’ blood is God’s free gift to man. He left His blood, peace and promise to us in earth and ascended to heaven. Even after ascending, He fulfilled His promise by sending help in the person of the Holy Ghost to us.

From all this information, we can decipher that God’s gift is absolutely FREE! No one buys the gift. No amount of fasting and prayer can give the gift without God’s mercy. His gifts are without conditions. All you need is faith to bring them to realization.

God gave us this gifts. We didn’t earn it. We should therefore use it to the glory of the kingdom. God didn’t look at our sin. He gave because of love. He didn’t eelwent because we sinned. The more we sinned, the more determined He is to buy us back.

Never monitize for any reason any service you render by the power of God (ie. Healing, deliverance etc). God gives the grace for this for free. Don’t be so ungrateful as to deprive mankind of God’s gift bottled in you. Use it!

    Happy Sunday!
    Jah’s blessing!
